The HP Surestore Tape Autoloader 1/8 provides cost-effective easy-to-install automated data protection for the small- to medium-sized business. The autoloader stores up to 320 GB (640 GB compressed) of data on eight tapes while occupying only 2U of rack space. The 1/8 is a flexible tape automation solution with the ability to automatically back up multiple servers without operator intervention. The HP Tape Autoloader 1/8 holds one DLT vs80 drive and has capacity for eight media cartridges and will fit into any standard 19-inch rack. The 1/8 is compatible with leading servers and operating systems and it comes with Omniback II backup software. It can be used as either a standalone or rack-mount device.
